A Special Visit From Nottinghamshire Fire Service
Yesterday, we had a special visit at Easthorpe school when Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service rolled in! 🚒✨
The children were buzzing with excitement as the fire engine pulled up, and the firefighters quickly became the coolest visitors ever. Everyone got a close look at the engine and learned what all the buttons, hoses and many other tools are for.
Alongside all the fun, the firefighters shared some really important lessons about fire safety. The children learned how to stay safe at home, what to do if they hear a smoke alarm, and why firefighters wear their special protective clothing. These big messages were explained in a friendly, age-appropriate way that really stuck.
It was a fantastic hands-on experience that mixed learning with excitement, and we’re so grateful to the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue team for taking the time to visit us. The children ended the day full of knowledge, confidence…and a few future firefighters might have been inspired too!
